Echoing Le Monde, I mentioned a while ago that one of Sarkozy's companions in New Hampshire was Henri Proglio, the head of Veolia. It now seems that this report was in error. Sarko himself called Le Monde to say that his hosts were the Crombacks and Agostinellis, associated with Tiffany, Prada, and an investment bank. The story also speaks of a threat made by a security man to have two reporters sent home (via pressure on their employers) if they reported seeing Cécilia shopping the day after she skipped the Bush picnic because of a sore threat. Sarkozy told the paper they could write anything they wanted about him but asked them to spare Cécilia. He's not likely to have his way.
