What does "chochottes" really mean? I have seen it used like an equivalent for "sissy", especially by parents trying to coax their kids; and I've also heard it used as an insult, an expletive, an equivalent of the other f-word. But all of this comes from my own "translation" and I don't know what it really means.
I can't believe a politician would use the other f-word and a word used by parents to push their kids doesn't seem to fit...
Can you explain?

I think he's using it say "wuss." He wants the candidates to show some cojones and attack one another.
