Well back in the early eighties, I found myself the junior consultant along with a senior American consultant at the oecd,today extremely well known, and he tried to cover his french franc fees on exchange markets. Alas, he misjudged the strength of the dollar rally and ended up working for free on the first Latam crisis. He was a bit sore but took it in stride. Just enjoy your trip in France and forget about markets for a short while. And do not, absolutely not, look at French unit labour cost num. It woould be impolite.bers
