Perhaps better to compare the last number with the last preceding Elabe survey; polling firms have different methodologies and slight slants occur. In this case, Macron +3

The NY Times published an article this morning---yet another one!----on the possibility of a Le Pen victory if there is a high rate of absentions. It is by a soi-disant French sociophysicist. He says he predicted both Brexit and Trump. Let us hope his speculation is as flaky as his science, defined as
"applying to social behavior concepts and techniques from the field of physics"

Harris today is out with 62/38, IFOP/Fiducial 63/37, Odoxa 62/38, and IPSOS 61.5/38.5. All represent 2-3 point gains for Macron, not huge but very consistent.

The NYT has been very wrong for a long time on French politics, though their correspondent is good on French fashion
