Lit de Justice

Did she really? Carla, that is--did she really say to Rachida Dati, as the two happened to pass a bed in the private apartments of the Élysée (really? how did that come to pass?):

"Tu aurais bien aimé l'occuper, n'est-ce pas ?"

Le lit de justice, it would have been then, I suppose. In any case, we have this tidbit on the authority of Le Nouvel Obs--and we know how reliable they are. The same article quotes a book about la nouvelle reine and her amours with Prince Charming, whom she allegedly describes as follows:

"Ça a été immédiat, je ne m'attendais pas à quelqu'un de si drôle, de si vivant. Son physique, son charme et son intelligence m'ont séduite. Il a cinq ou six cerveaux remarquablement irrigués", écrit-elle dans l'ouvrage des éditions du Moment intitulé "Carla et Nicolas, la véritable histoire", dont des extraits sont publiés mercredi dans Le Parisien et Le Point.

Oh, well: se non è vero, è ben' trovato. Five or six well-irrigated brains should be enough to germinate a few good ideas.

I totally believe that Bruni said that to Dati...
It fits her personality and it's pretty clear that there was something fishy going on between Sarkozy and Dati at some point (before Carla).
And even if nothing happened between Sarkozy and Dati (which I doubt), there is little doubt that she's madly in love with him, just by reading her body language and facial expressions every time she talks about him.

The tidbit was mentioned on Monday on Canal +, quoting Le Point.
Nobody among those present felt the urge to comment but all thought it was entirely believable.
If it'd come Nouvel Obs I'd have dismissed it at complete fabrication of course.

That's really rather sad - that Bruni's ambition should extend only so far as 'beating' another woman to the 'prize' of being bedded by Sarko...

Well, Bruni is with Sarkozy because he is a prize for her.
Sarkozy is with Bruni because she is a prize for him...

So, I guess they go together.
