Can this be true?

Is it really the case that one can now be prosecuted in France for referring to a minister as une connasse?

Someone has been prosecuted for having written "Ouh la menteuse" under a Youtube video of Mme Morano: http://tempsreel.nouvelobs.com/speciales/societe/libertes_sous_pression/20090605.OBS9371/hou_la_menteuse__morano_choquee_par_la_convocation_au_p.html!

well, yes. Not to mention the guy who said "Sarkozy je te vois" in the Marseille train station in front of a police officer (he was charged, found guilty, and fined 100 euros). Note however that "connasse" is worthy of prosecution, while "menteuse" remains acceptable to the members of the government.
Those who wish to use expletives can happily do so about any PS member, with blessings from UMP. ;-)
