Le Roi des Cons

Would that life were so simple.

Pas le roi, l'Empereur.

Art, thanks for digging this gem which reminds me of Michel Audiard'd famous line in Les Tontons Flingueurs:

"Un con, ça ose tout, c'est même à ça qu'on le reconnait"

An another one, quite à propos from the same philosopher:

Well, apparently even his own party thinks he's got an "oyster's IQ", I quote "le QI d'un huître", to the point it made him unsuitable to many minister positions.
Based on his wikipedia portrait, he's got no diplomas or degree whatsoever but was a pilot who used his athletic fame to get elected. Sounds like some American politicians, errmm.

Not a pilot, he was a Grand Prix motorcycle racer.

Oops, sorry.

Raoult persists with his ideal society of self-censorship:

National Identity, part Z:
Police officers in charge of illegal immigration pretend to control papers and take advantage of storekeepers to steal their stuff. The storekeepers call the cops and stop them: the stoprekeepers get arrested. Fortunately, a cc cam shows what really happened.

Very impressive. Yes, he's at a level that might qualify him for a leadership role in the U.S. Republican party....

Quelle richesse de trashissime aujourd'hui.

National Identity, a long, thoughtful, historically-based reply from leftist journalist E.Plenel:

Speaking of Estrosi's past as a motorcycle racer, I've just learned that in Nice he's known as un motodidacte. (h/t Laurence)
