Another "Petite Phrase" from the Uninhibited Right

Valérie Pécresse visited the 93 yesterday. A man in the audience of African descent asked her about enforcing a law on anonymous CVs in order to eliminate discrimination against candidates with "foreign-sounding" last names. Pécresse told him that spelling errors did more damage to a candidate's prospects than a photo--as if, in her mind, the correlation between "foreignness" and "inability to spell" were perfect. I should send her some of the e-mail I receive from Français de souche ...

May be something should be done for “Bretons” (inhabitants of Brittany, where I live), and especially for those with a Breton name (Celt), because he does not like us a lot apparently (it is about some ancient and more recent problems).

Uninhibited Senator rethinks garde à vue after getting through one:

While a 14 year old gets the same nurturing, enriching experience in her pajamas:

(Since the IGS has been called, there must be some doubt. Internal Affairs aren't called that often in France, where the police is assumed to be speaking the truth. The story also rings true in that the #1 worry of the kid was that a piece of clothing revealing she had no underwear on and not anything related to her "arrest" which apparently she assumed was a mistake. It sounds about right for that age, not something you'd make up.)

Maitre Eolas thinks it's related to a request from up high that minors be arrested as much as possible, so that there are "good" stats to present when a law reforming "garde à vue" for minors is presented.
