Bank Bails on Les Bleus

You know that your reputation has suffered when even a bank feels it's better off without your endorsement.

Interestingly, that's our bank, and my wife had a brief discussion this morning with a couple of people there (before the announcement) saying they should take down the posters.

You know soccer is important on the world stage when even Art cannot escape it. 3 soccer posts on "French Politics" in 3 days, that must be a reccord...

CA is not the first (or last?) sponsor to walk out due to the current chaos. The fast-food chain Quick had opened the march on Saturday, by stopping its ad campaign featuring Anelka:

Someone needs to explain to Les Bleus that professional athletes only get away with behaving like petulant children if they WIN. The fans will forgive a winner just about anything. You don't get to act like this when you are struggling against Uruguay and getting thrashed by Mexico.
